The Office of Labor Standards (OLS) enforces Seattle's labor laws, ensures workers receive fair wages, manages gig worker protections, and investigates labor violations. As an investigative and regulatory body, the OLS processes large volumes of sensitive corporate and employee data.

To maintain a strict chain of custody and data integrity, the OLS relies on the robust, secure digital infrastructure centrally managed by Seattle IT. Should an investigator's drive fail or a local database be corrupted, standard IT troubleshooting cannot safely recover the complex file structures without risking permanent data loss.

Seattle Data Recovery has stepped up to provide post-graduate hardware-level intervention. Our operations are centrally located in the UW Medicine Building in Ballard. Because professional data recovery requires specialized equipment, our advanced facility ensures that the critical investigative data that drives the Office of Labor Standards is recovered safely and securely, preserving the integrity of Seattle's workforce regulations.

Critical Notice: Physical Damage & Hardware Policy

Please be advised that ANY damage that is physical or mechanical in nature requires additional parts and labor.
The baseline mechanical recovery rate covers our cleanroom environment entry, laboratory equipment allocation, and initial micro-engineering setup. Because physical failures require sourcing exact matching donor drives from our global component pipeline to swap out broken read/write head assemblies, seized spindles, or damaged electronics, all components, replacement donor hardware, and extended mechanical bench labor will be billed as additional standalone costs following your diagnosis.
