1. Secure Media Intake & Chain of Custody
Our facility, strategically located within the University of Washington Medical District innovation hub, operates under strict, institutional-grade security controls. We recognize that data recovery demands the same level of confidentiality and data security found in federal systems and clinical environments.
- Federal Compliance: All storage media entering our facility is managed in alignment with the National Institute of Standards and Technology NIST SP 800-88 Guidelines for Media Sanitization to guarantee data containment.
- Medical & Corporate Privacy: Operating within a prominent medical corridor requires absolute data isolation. We implement multi-factor physical access restrictions and cryptographically secure intake logging for every drive.
- Unified Lab Networks: To maintain maximum physical data protection, devices requiring microscopic or mechanical intervention are routed directly through our proprietary, secure logistics network. This ensures zero risk of local environmental interception and strict compliance with the Defense Logistics Agency instructions for secure transport.
2. Micro-Electronic Cleanroom Environments
Physical hard drive recoveries involving failed heads, crashed spindles, or degraded platters cannot be performed in standard office air. Our engineering procedures are bound to rigid international atmospheric metrics to maximize recovery success.
- Airborne Cleanliness Standards: Mechanical restorations are executed strictly within specialized environments certified under the ISO 14644-1 Cleanroom Classification. These environments regulate cumulative microscopic distributions down to 0.1 µm.
- Infrastructure Variable Pricing: Advanced data recovery pricing is determined by fixed micro-electronic engineering variables, specialized precision equipment degradation, and laboratory supply chain costs monitored by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).
- Zero-Pressure Cost Structures: Our engineering quotes are fixed and based entirely on the physical complexity of the media failure. We do not participate in promotional price fluctuations or high-pressure sales strategies, ensuring consistent, transparent engineering fees for every client.
3. Diagnostic Tiers vs. Cleanroom Engineering Labor
To maintain fairness and full financial clarity, we strictly differentiate between non-invasive logical evaluations and complex, physical cleanroom operations.
- Complimentary Initial Diagnostics: Our standard, non-invasive digital evaluation is provided completely free of charge. This software-level diagnostic assesses sector readability, partition integrity, and controller functionality without physically altering the drive.
- Physical Cleanroom Bench Fees: If a drive is suffering from internal mechanical or electrical failure and must be opened to attempt a recovery, a fixed Cleanroom Labor and Bench Fee is required before work begins.
- Labor vs. Outcome Allocation: Cleanroom engineering labor involves microscopic component extraction, read/write head replacement, donor drive matching, and plater transplantations. This highly specialized manual labor, cleanroom gowning, and destructive engineering time are billed as a fixed, non-refundable labor cost. This fee covers the precise engineering work required to physically process the drive, even if severe internal platter degradation or magnetic layer wear ultimately makes a full data recovery technically impossible.
4. Pre-Diagnostic Logistics Disclosures
We believe in full operational transparency before any technical evaluations begin. In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) consumer protection frameworks regarding advertising and marketing transparency, we outline all potential logistical costs upfront.
- Pass-Through Courier Policies: If a client chooses not to proceed with physical recovery after receiving our certified diagnostic report or cleanroom evaluation, the client retains total ownership of their device. The media will be securely packaged and returned via standard postal networks upon payment of standard, pass-through courier and handling fees in line with United States Postal Service (USPS) weight and zone regulations.
- Device Integrity Guarantees: We never withhold client media or compromise a device's physical status. Devices are immediately released or securely shipped back upon the conclusion of the diagnostic or recovery lifecycle.
