External hard drives and USB flash drives are designed to go everywhere with us. Because they are portable, they often contain our most diverse collections of data—from private family video archives and photo backups to confidential client portfolios.
When you lose access to a portable drive, you want your files back, but you don't want anyone snooping through your life's memories or trade secrets. When clients drop off their external drives at our Regus Business Center reception desk, they sometimes worry that a premium corporate environment means too many eyes on their devices. Here is the reality of our secure process:
-
A Secure Chain of Custody: The Regus staff simply acts as our secure drop-off point. They only collect your name, phone number, and email to book your case. They receive your external drive, store it safely on a shelf, and hand the new drive back to you when the process is done. Regus does not do the data recovery, and Seattle Data Recovery absolutely does not share your data with Regus.
-
Technicians Repair, They Don't Inspect: Our engineers focus on the mechanical and logical health of your drive. We strictly prohibit the opening of any personal files. We do not open pictures, Word documents, PDFs, or videos.
-
Visual Proof, Zero Intrusion: To prove your data has been recovered before you pay your invoice, we provide screenshots of your folder directories. This allows you to verify that your data structure has been rescued without us opening a single file.
-
Data Integrity and Delivery: We literally recover your raw data, transfer it to a brand-new external drive, and hand it back to you. We never sell your data, intel, or personal information to any third party or outside organization.
-
Post-Recovery Security: All data recovered on our end is completely destroyed 30 days after your service is completed. If you are highly sensitive about your data lingering for even a day, simply request immediate destruction, and we will wipe our systems the moment you confirm receipt of your new drive.
