The Failure Scenario
Your ASUS VivoBook Flip (or standard VivoBook with a touch display) is dropped or squeezed tightly in a suitcase. The computer turns on, and you can hear the fan spinning, but the internal screen remains completely black, or the glass is badly shattered. To make matters worse, the broken screen generates frantic, erratic "ghost touches" that make it impossible to log in or operate the machine.
The Storage Challenge
The computer and the storage drive itself are perfectly functional, but you are locked out by a broken user interface. Connecting an external monitor via HDMI or USB-C doesn't always show the desktop automatically—especially if the laptop is stuck at a pre-login password screen, a corporate network prompt, or a Windows Hello facial recognition check.
The Professional Recovery Process
We charge an upfront diagnostic fee to safely secure the device and prevent accidental file deletion or account lockouts caused by the broken touchscreen entering random inputs.
- Digitizer Disconnection: Our technicians open the VivoBook casing and physically detach the display and touch ribbon cables from the motherboard. This immediately halts the erratic ghost touches.
- Drive Extraction & Write-Blocking: Rather than risking further damage to an expensive, specialized chassis, we remove the internal M.2 SSD or hard drive completely from the motherboard.
- Administrative Access Bypassing: The drive is connected to a dedicated lab imaging station using hardware write-blockers. Our engineers safely bypass the native Windows user account security boundaries, allowing us to export your documents, local browser profiles, and application databases onto a brand-new external drive.
